According to the sixth survey of 2020 by the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) in December, compared with the fifth survey in September, the expected revenue of textile companies in 2020 has increased by 4 percentage points from -16% to -12%.
The survey shows that after 2021, the expected revenue of textile companies will rebound slightly compared with 2019. In 2020, revenue will recover from -1% in the fifth survey to +3%, and increase from +9% to +11% and from +14% to +15% in 2022 and 2023, respectively, and remain at + in 2024 18% unchanged.
According to the survey, the mid-term and long-term revenue expectations of textile companies have not changed significantly. Nevertheless, due to a 10% drop in expected revenue in 2020, the industry expects that the losses in 2020 will be fully recovered by the end of 2022.
